About Complacent Girl
Complacent Girl is DangerGirlx, fronted by Asami Freya, calling out the fake smile: a pretty face behind a wall, a life lived in shades of gray, and the tears that only fall at night.
The chorus is the dare. Rip the mask, throw it away, and stand tall with your real face.
Every song streams free, here and everywhere. Buying the track gets you the lossless WAV master and puts money straight into the next record.
Complacent Girl lyrics
Verse 1
You sit back do nothing at all
Pretty face behind your wall
Fake smile fake laugh fake cheer
Hiding all your secret fears
Verse 2
Piece of plastic on display
Living life in shades of gray
Pretend it’s all so perfect fine
While your heart is stuck in time
Chorus
Complacent girl in a plastic world
Fake every moment every twirl
Laugh it off pretend it’s right
Hiding tears that fall at night
Verse 3
Gotta step out and break free
From the mirror’s lying spree
Real smiles real laughs real cries
No more wearing thin disguise
Chorus
Complacent girl in a plastic world
Fake every moment every twirl
Laugh it off pretend it’s right
Hiding tears that fall at night
Bridge
Rip the mask throw it away
No more mirror’s lying spree
Real smiles real laughs real cries
No more wearing thin disguise
Chorus
Complacent girl
Complacent girl
Complacent girl in a plastic world
Fake every moment every twirl
Laugh it off pretend it’s right
Hiding tears that fall at night
Bridge
Rip the mask throw it away
No more games no more play
Stand tall show your real face
In this life you set the pace
Chorus
Complacent girl in a plastic world
Fake every moment every twirl
Laugh it off pretend it’s right
Hiding tears that fall at night
