§ 01 What This Site Collects
This site collects three things. The contact form collects the name, email address, subject, and message you type, and delivers them to the label's inbox. The Signal Registry collects your email address when you join the newsletter. The web server keeps standard technical logs, including IP addresses and request data, for security and troubleshooting. That is the complete list of data collected directly by this site.
This site is directed at a general audience and knowingly collects nothing from children under 13. Parents who believe a child has submitted information can request removal through the Contact page.
§ 02 The Signal Registry Newsletter
Joining the Signal Registry stores your email address for one purpose: sending you new releases, artist updates, and stories from Danger City. Every transmission carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list. Removal can also be requested directly through the Contact page, and the address is deleted rather than archived.
§ 03 Cookies and Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it, including pages visited, time on page, approximate region, and the device and browser in use. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data under Google's privacy policy. The reports the label sees are aggregate statistics rather than profiles of individual visitors. Analytics cookies can be refused through your browser settings or with Google's opt-out tool, and the site keeps working either way.
The short version. This site collects what it needs to answer your messages, send the newsletter you asked for, and count its visitors. Your data stays out of the marketplace. It is never sold.
§ 04 Third Parties
Music purchases happen on Bandcamp under Bandcamp's privacy policy, and the label never sees your payment details. Embedded players from Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube may set their own cookies once you interact with them, under their own policies. Links to social platforms, including Instagram and Audius, hand you to those services entirely. The site runs on managed hosting, and the host processes server logs as part of operating the infrastructure.
§ 05 Your Rights and Choices
You can request a copy of the personal data this site holds about you, ask for corrections, or ask for deletion, and the label honors those requests. California residents additionally hold the rights to know, delete, and correct under the CCPA, along with the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. This site sells nothing and shares nothing beyond the processors named on this page, so that opt-out is the permanent default. Requests receive a response within 30 days.
§ 06 Reaching the Records Office
Privacy questions and data requests go through the Contact page or directly to contact@cityofdolls.com. State the request plainly and it gets handled.
