§ 01 Use of This Site
City of Dolls Records operates cityofdolls.com as the official music site for the DangerGirlx project. By browsing this site, streaming previews, reading the Field Report, joining the Signal Registry, or purchasing music through our storefront links, you accept the terms filed on this page. These terms apply to every visit. If any clause here conflicts with your intended use of the site, the clause wins and the intended use waits for written permission.
This site is intended for a general audience and is directed at visitors old enough to form a binding agreement in their place of residence. Anyone using the site on behalf of a company or project accepts these terms for that entity as well as for themselves.
§ 02 The Fictional Universe
DangerGirlx is a real band, and Asami Freya, Lacy Evangeline, and Dahlia River are real artists whose music is their real work. The world they perform inside is fiction. Danger City, the case files, the surveillance framing, and the storylines form a creative universe, and the roles the artists play within it belong to that work. Read the files as story. Treat the artists, their names, and their likenesses as real people with protected identities.
Filed in plain sight. The city is fiction. The files are fiction. The artists, the music, the releases, and the purchases are real.
§ 03 Purchases and Bandcamp
Music purchases complete on Bandcamp under Bandcamp's own terms of sale and privacy policy. City of Dolls Records lists releases here and routes you to the storefront at dangergirlx.bandcamp.com. Payment processing, download delivery, and refunds run through Bandcamp, and questions about a specific transaction go to Bandcamp support first. Streaming platforms linked from this site, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and Audius, operate under their own terms once you leave for those services.
Purchased downloads are licensed for personal, private listening. Keeping copies across your own devices is expected and welcome. Reselling, redistributing, or uploading purchased files to other platforms is prohibited.
§ 04 Intellectual Property
Every recording, composition, lyric, image, video, logo, artwork, character, and piece of written lore on this site belongs to City of Dolls Records unless credited otherwise. The names DangerGirlx, City of Dolls, and the artist names Asami Freya, Lacy Evangeline, Dahlia River, and Marz Riley are marks of the label.
The artists of DangerGirlx are real people, and their names, images, voices, and likenesses are protected by right of publicity and related laws in addition to the label's rights. Using an artist's identity without written permission is prohibited, and that prohibition covers AI-generated imitations, cloned voices, deepfakes, and synthetic imagery presented as the artist.
Personal, non-commercial enjoyment of the site content is yours. Sharing links, quoting short excerpts with credit, and posting screenshots in reviews or commentary is welcome. Uses beyond that, including commercial use, bulk reproduction, dataset compilation, and machine learning training on the site's content, require written permission first. Music-specific permissions, including creator use and sync, live in the Licensing file.
§ 05 Acceptable Conduct
Visitors agree to use the site as a music site. The following conduct is prohibited: scraping or harvesting content or email addresses in bulk, probing or disrupting the site's security or infrastructure, submitting spam or malicious content through the contact form, impersonating the label or its artist personas in a way designed to deceive, and presenting the personas as endorsing any outside product, service, or cause.
The label reserves the right to refuse service, block access, and remove submitted content where this section is violated.
§ 06 Changes to These Terms
These terms can be revised at any time. Revisions are posted on this page with an updated Last Revised date in the document control strip above. Continued use of the site after a revision posts counts as acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes to how purchases or personal data are handled will be flagged prominently on this page.
§ 07 Disclaimers and Liability
The site is provided as is and as available. City of Dolls Records makes reasonable efforts to keep the site accurate, online, and free of malware, and offers the site without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. The fictional elements of the universe are presented for entertainment, and any resemblance between the fictional setting, its institutions, or its events and real ones is coincidental and unintended.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the label's total liability arising from your use of this site is limited to the amount you paid the label directly through this site in the twelve months before the claim arose. Purchases made on Bandcamp are governed by Bandcamp's terms and remedies.
§ 08 Governing Law and Contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally belong to the state and federal courts located in California, and both sides consent to that venue. Questions about these terms go through the Contact page. File a transmission and it gets answered.
