NEW RELEASES. NEW STORIES. SAME CITY.

About Us

City of Dolls

City of Dolls did not begin as a music project.

It started almost accidentally, through photography.

At first, it was about collaboration. Working with models. Building images that felt connected rather than isolated. Those images slowly turned into sequences. The sequences became a photo novella. Characters began to carry weight beyond a single shoot. Names stuck. Personalities formed. Small details repeated themselves without being planned.

Then The World Changed.

One person had to do more. The scope widened. Photography alone was no longer enough to hold everything that was forming. The project kept outgrowing its original container.

What came over time was not a series of images, but a setting.

City of Dolls became a place that could hold stories, music, characters, and ideas without needing to explain itself every time. Something you could walk into through sound, or visuals, or writing, and feel like you had been there before.

OFF THE TRACKS

For those who want to understand how this piece fits
inside the larger City of Dolls.

Our Story

As the project expanded, music stopped being an accessory and became the backbone.

Songs were no longer standalone pieces. They started to reference each other. Characters crossed paths without being introduced. Locations returned. Emotional states repeated in different forms. Listening began to feel less like consumption and more like navigation.

That is when DangerGirlx took form.

The City of Dolls became a voice. A band created around a shared world rather than an image or a persona. Music became the connective tissue that allowed everything else to grow without collapsing under its own weight.

City of Dolls became the cultural layer inside Danger City. A place individual stories overlap, disappear, resurface, and sometimes contradict each other.

Our Mission

Our mission is to build music as an interconnected environment.

We are not interested in disposable songs or content designed to exist for a moment and vanish. We focus on continuity. On projects that reward attention. On music that feels different the second or third time you encounter it because context has changed.

City of Dolls exists to give music a place to live. DangerGirlx exists to carry that place forward through sound.

Our Vision

The long-term vision is to grow City of Dolls into something people can move through, not just listen to. A world that expands across music, visuals, characters, and collaborative works. A setting that creators can contribute to rather than imitate. A place that feels coherent without being closed off.

We want City of Dolls to become a community within a community. A network of artists, musicians, writers, filmmakers, designers, and thinkers who share a similar obsession with building worlds that feel intentional. This is not about scale for its own sake. It is about depth, consistency, and care.

One day, you might listen to the music first and then discover the world. Or you might encounter the world and later realize the music was always part of it. Both paths matter.

Building Together

City of Dolls is selective by design. We are interested in working with people who take their art seriously and feel drawn to long-term creation rather than short-term attention. Collaboration here is cumulative. The goal is not to own everything, but to build something together that none of us could build alone. If you are here, it is probably because something already resonated.
